The activity is concerned with making rice and preparing it for consumption by applying the following processes: First: cleaning and grading: the basis of the cleaning process is the exclusion or separation of any other components that may be mixed with rice from gravel, sand and others. Second: Peeling: The purpose of the peeling process is to separate the outer shell from the rice without cracking the peeled rice grains. The peeling process is done under the influence of shear stresses, pressure and friction on the surface of the rice grains. Third: Separation and sorting of rice: The products of the peeling process are peeled rice, unshelled rice and other things. These products are sifted to separate unshelled rice from the rice. Fourth: Bleaching: The bleaching process means removing dark layers, and this process is done by scratching or friction. Fifth: Polishing: The benefit of this stage is to give the rice a shiny surface.
